Diet iD x Epic

Diet ID is now available via the Epic App Market. Health systems that use Epic as their EHR can now seamlessly collect diet quality data and other nutrition metrics directly into the patient chart.

Diet ID is a standalone integration. Patients access diet ID via a simple web link, log into Diet ID with they MyChart login, take the assessment. Diet ID then posts data back to a flowsheet or custom vital sign in Epic so providers can see data in real time.

THE PATIENT AND PROVIDER WORKFLOW

  • Patients will log into your custom instance of Diet ID with their MyChart login (patient doesn’t need to complete Diet ID’s assessment from WITHIN MyChart)

  • Once the assessment is completed, dietary analysis is generated in real time, and selected data points are posted to the patient chart

The complexity of the integration is LOW. In order for Diet ID to be integrated within your Epic instance, you will need the following:

System requirements:

  • open.epic web services

  • MyChart

Patient access security points:

  • MyChart: 193 - OAuth Data Access

  • MyChart: 181 - Patient Care Team

  • MyChart: 200 - View Sex Assigned at Birth
